A booking is confirmed once we have taken your card details, either online through our booking system or by phone on 01434 240 382. Your card secures the reservation.
Payment for your stay is due when you leave. We accept credit and debit cards and cash.
We don’t take a deposit. We take your card details to secure the booking, and you pay when you leave. If you would prefer to pay in advance, just ask and we can arrange it.
Room prices are per room, per night, and include a full Northumbrian breakfast. Single occupancy is charged at a reduced rate. The price you’re quoted when you book is the price you’ll pay.
Garden Cottage is self-catering and priced per night for the whole cottage.
Please give us at least 7 days’ notice if you need to cancel.
If you cancel with less notice, or don’t arrive, we may charge up to 100% of the cost of your accommodation, at our discretion.
Suggested: if Garden Cottage has a different cancellation period (for example 28 days for longer stays), add it here.
Garden Cottage is a self-contained, self-catering cottage for up to four guests, a few yards from the inn. Our general terms apply, along with the following.
Children are welcome at The Pheasant Inn. A pop-up travel cot can be provided on request, but we ask guests to bring their own cot linen and baby bedding.
If you are travelling with a baby or young child, please let us know their age when you book and whether you need a cot. Our bedrooms vary in size and layout, so this helps us give your family the most suitable room. Please tell us about any other requirements when you make your reservation.
We’re sorry, but we can’t accept dogs or other pets in the bedrooms, the cottage or the inn.
Assistance dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. Please contact us before your visit so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vapes, isn’t permitted anywhere inside the inn, the bedrooms or Garden Cottage.
If anyone smokes indoors, we’ll ask them to leave immediately. We may charge for professional cleaning of the room, and for any nights booked but not used because of the early departure.
You’re welcome to smoke outside. Please use the bins provided for cigarette ends.
Please take care of your room or cottage and its contents. You’re responsible for any damage or breakages you cause, and we’d ask you to tell us as soon as anything happens. We don’t normally charge for minor breakages.
If something isn’t right, please tell us straight away so we can put it right while you’re here. We maintain the inn, rooms and equipment regularly and will deal with any failure of equipment or utilities as quickly as we can, but we can’t be held responsible for inconvenience caused by events outside our control.
Suggested: we can’t accept responsibility for loss of or damage to guests’ belongings or vehicles, except where caused by our negligence. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
We’re open Wednesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Lunch is served 12–2pm and dinner 6–8pm, and the bar is open 12–3pm and 5.30–10.30pm. Tables are booked by phone, and we recommend booking, particularly at weekends.
