Garden Cottage is our self-catering holiday cottage in Stannersburn, five minutes from the shore of Kielder Water and a twenty-minute drive from Kielder Observatory.
Renovated to a very high standard, it sleeps four in two en-suite bedrooms and makes a warm, quiet base for walking, cycling, fishing and stargazing in Northumberland and the Borders — with the inn’s kitchen and bars a short stroll away on the evenings you’d rather not cook.
Self-catering for up to four, with a minimum stay of three nights. Book online, or call us for weekly rates and anything you would like to check first.

We’re sorry, but we’re unable to take dogs or other pets in Garden Cottage. Assistance dogs are welcome by prior arrangement — please contact us before your visit so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Please do. The restaurant and two lounge bars are a two-minute walk across the garden, serving lunch 12–2 and dinner 6–8, Wednesday to Sunday. Booking a table is strongly recommended at weekends. The nearest shop is in Bellingham, about fifteen minutes away, so it’s worth bringing the main shop with you.
