Our king-size rooms are the Pheasant’s doubles: each has a king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room, and most open onto the sheltered courtyard garden at the back of the inn — far enough from the bar to be properly quiet, close enough to be back at the fire in half a minute.
Every room has Bramley toiletries, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer and a hospitality tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Most are on the ground floor with level access from the car park; some are on the first floor, reached by an external stone staircase. If you need level access, mention it when you book and we will make sure you have it. Some of our king-size rooms can take a third person — call us and we will tell you which.
The rate includes a full Northumbrian breakfast cooked to order and served in the dining room from 8am, and parking is free right outside the door. Walkers and cyclists can have their kit washed and dried in our laundry, and packed lunches can be pre-ordered the night before.
Kielder Water is five minutes away and Kielder Observatory about twenty, and on a clear night the sky above the courtyard is as dark as anywhere in England. Travelling with children? Our Family Room sleeps four.
